NuChair’s unique geometry can put your body in its ideal posture comfortably and effortlessly, if used properly. If you’re not used to the good posture, you may experience some pains in the postural muscles that NuChair is strengthening.Using these techniques below, your body will adjust to the new sitting position, and your posture will become stronger even when standing!
If you feel muscular pain or tightness in your back, neck, or shoulders after sitting in your NuChair, limit sitting time to 45 minutes to an hour (more if comfortable). Then stand and walk around, or sit in your old chair for 10-15 minutes. You can also adjust your NuChair to sit the opposite way for this.
After 1-2 weeks your muscles will strengthen and you’ll become accustomed to sitting in your NuChair pain free, for as long as you want.We estimate about 20% of NuChair users go through this normalizing process, and the times vary with each individual.
If you experience pain in your neck, it could be that you’re leaning in too much, or your monitor/focus is too low.Try to have your monitor or work up at eye level.
Our customer support is here to help you with these and other issues, please read the informational insert that arrives with your NuChair for more on that.Once you learn NuChair’s proper use and adjustments, you’ll be happy every day that you made the change!
